“Budo” is a general term for Japanese martial arts. It originated from the old form of Japanese martial arts, which put a high value not only on the skills of killing and control of enemies but also the “way = do” of acquiring a higher self through the practices. Budo or Bushi-do is essentially the symbol of Japan. It embodies the spirit of being Japanese.
